All of my cake smashes are "simple" and lots of fun. A simple cake smash means we don't use busy backdrops or tons of props and they definitely aren't "boring"!
Each session is done on a classic white backdrop that features a fun color coordinated balloon garland with either some flowers, greenery or simply by itself to add a fun pop of color. This way the focus stays on your baby.
Let's talk CAKE. For safety reasons, I do not provide a cake at this time. The client is responsible for ordering and bringing a cake (or other food substitute) to the session.
A naked or plain cake is recommended, or color coordinate with balloon colors to match. I do strongly suggest that your baby try cake before coming to their session. Some babies don't like the sweetness, but most absolutely love it. Allergies is not something you want to chance at their photo session. When letting baby sample cake, be sure to watch for any reactions. Don't want cake? No problem! You can do the cake smash set up without cake and still have a beautiful balloon backdrop.
Alternatives to cake are donuts, fruit, spaghetti, muffins, pancakes or cereal.

$200 non-refundable retainer fee is due at booking to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due 3 days before your session.

Booking your cake smash 3-6 week in advance will guarantee balloon color choices showing up in time as well as ordering a cake. This will also allow time for you to get your photos back in time for your baby's birthday party. Let's get planning today!

Non-cake smash ideas: Don't want to do a cake? No problem. There are other alternatives
like no cake, muffins, cereal, fruit, confetti, ice cream, or pie to name a few.
