WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK A SESSION?
All sessions require a paid non-refundable session fee and a signed contract to reserve your date. Your session is not scheduled until both are received.
ARE ALL SESSIONS OFFERED YEAR-ROUND?
Some are. Living here in Iowa can come with its fair share of unpredictable weather. Outdoor sessions will only be scheduled during the months of April-October with availability. Dates cannot be guaranteed. During busy seasons like September and October, family or senior sessions may be very limited due to the high volume of schools and club sports that Flaherty Photography works with. It is highly suggested to schedule any outdoor session during the summer months when there are more daylight hours and more flexibility. We now have a full retail studio located in Olde Town Altoona that I can schedule many sessions there like family, milestones, newborns, cake smashes, pets and maternity.
DO YOU OFFER MINI SESSIONS?
I will occasionally offer special mini session opportunities during the year. They are usually theme or location based. Anyone on my email list gets notified with first priority to book, then it is open to the public the following day which is posted on my Facebook page. I do have several "Simple" session options in addition to Full sessions as a way to offer a few options based on either your budget or what your needs are.
WILL WE GET TO SEE SNEAK PEEKS?
Unless you tell me otherwise, YES! I will post a sneak peek on both my Facebook and Instagram pages typically a couple of days after your session.
WHAT ABOUT WEATHER ISSUES?
We all know weather can sometimes be unpredictable. If we are unable to start or complete your session due to weather, we will definitely work out a time to reschedule you. I ask my clients to be flexible and understanding when it comes to weather as I will do my best to make sure we get your session complete. This is IOWA!
WHAT ARE THE ORDER MINIMUMS?
Want to complete your session with some tangible prints? There is a print order minimum of $75. After you book your session, I will provide you with a product pricing guide so you can see what I offer as well as pricing ahead of time.
WHERE DO YOU SUGGEST I PRINT MY PHOTOS?
Any digital files you receive with your session are sized to be printed up to an 8" x 10" size photo with perfect resolution. Any images you wish to have printed larger can be done directly through the studio to ensure the best quality possible. If you want to print some on your own, I do recommend MPIX. It is a great online lab that specializes in printing professional images for consumer use. Other labs like CVS or Walgreens are not geared for printing professional images due to color monitoring. Flaherty Photography is not responsible for your personal printing issues outside our professional lab we are set up with.
HOW LONG IS MY GALLERY ACTIVE?
I aim to have your gallery sent to you via email approximately 2 weeks after your session. Once it is sent to you, it is active for 14 days. You can order during that time and can let me know if you might need a few extra days. Once the gallery link expires, there is a $50 re-post fee to activate it for an additional 7 days. Please reach out prior to your gallery expiring so I can work with you to avoid the re-post fee.
